Mentality of the ignorant. Modern city through the lines of facebook.

This is an actual Facebook discussion that was going on.  The groups focus was Neighborhood Watch.  This is how the ignorant look at themselves.  We have doctored nothing other than removing the names of those involved.

My son and I were just driving up River Street in front of the Fallon Rainbow Center and a kid threw a bottle at my car!!! It hit the windshield (thankfully didn't break it) -scared the hell out of us , I swerved--almost hit a telephone pole and another car just missed me. Had to hold my son back--because he wanted to take off after them. Called 911. Very scary situation that could have been alot worse .. I am still a wreck just thinking about it.

I had to do everything in my power not to go after them, Ironically I work for Troy Housing Authority... so I was not afraid to go after them--I just didn't want my son involved . Wednesday at 7:01pm · Like

I live in the upper Burgh. I won't drive Oakwood at night because there are so many deer up there. So if I'm coming from Wynantskill way or anywhere out that way, I get on 787 just so I don't have to drive up through Troy. Isn't that sad you can't feel safe in your own city. I had guests come for dinner one night and they asked if their car would be safe. I thought they meant from getting hit. They meant from being broken into. :/ Wednesday at 8:14pm via mobile · Like

Ironically..it serves you right. You know those people you called dirtbags? That live down the street from you? The father got a glass bottle thrown at him. Maybe you shouldn't be the one to call people dirtbags, you think your helping lansingburgh but you are most certainly not. As a young person I see the things adults write on here and it's ridiculous. You think lansingburgh is awful and you think your above everyone. You are most certainly not if you just sit around and call people dirtbags and complain, especially when you don't know anything about the situation. We as young people in lansingburgh/Troy sit and laugh at the failure you bring to this town. Your no better than anyone. Anywhere.

Few cop cars at the corner of 124th and 7th Ave. The thorn in our side house at our corner. Owner from out of town... Been a problem for a while. Hubby just walked down to see what is going on.. Hopefully we can get these dirtbags off our nice block!! Like · · Unfollow Post · Wednesday at 9:24pm 3 people like this.

Yes.. Fighting with the people in the one family rental across the street on 7th... No sirens. I seen the lights fly by my window--which is unusual up here .... Wednesday at 9:46pm · Like

We were told last month at the neighborhood watch meeting that that bunch was being evicted. Can't come too soon. They're typical of the blight that's taking over the city. Yesterday at 10:01am · Like

Not sure dirt bag is a good term, unless you know personally what was going on. Wonder how anyone else would feel if someone drove up to your house and started hurling bottles and rocks at it. Sounds a like we are getting the mob mentality. If that is the case I have torches and pitch forks for sale. Yesterday at 2:51pm · Like · 2

Did you notice the initials..yes same person initiated both conversations.  It seems that far more people suffer the Mrs. Kravits syndrome.  More to come on our segments of the "Dumbing of America - A Liberal Paradise"
