Do not judge thy neighbor
After a little observation and some contemplation we have come to the conclusion that many people are quick to judge their neighbors based on the house they live in, how tall their grass is, what kind of car they drive, how much noise their children make while playing outside. Neighbors complain about who is putting up a pool in 90 degree weather and call police. They judge those who rent versus those who own. Those people are so consumed by others lives because they really consumed by self loathing and are miserable in their own existence that they lash out frivolously at others in an attempt to justify their self hatred.
Often placing themselves on self created pedestal adorned by their own off spring that will most surely achieve the same status as the parents. These people forbid their cherubs from associating with what they call dirt bags, riff-raff, scumbags and low-lifes, all based on rumors and the fact that they will never or would never go out of their comfort zone to meet and great the "other" neighbors. They never offer to cut the grass or help repair a broken step, instead they call "code" about the grass or the unsightly house.
All these breeds and flourishes in the neighborhood via whispers and post to social media, it has grown through their children and will spread to the community quickly. You all have solidified the metaphoric Zombification that we are seeing in our towns and cities, in our schools and our country. My one single advice to you Mr. and Mrs. hyphenated 2.4 children with the manicured lawn, if you truly knew your neighbors and your neighborhood you would know that sometimes the nicest of doors, hide the wickedest secrets. Do not bother to cast that stone, till you can not be judge.

Which side of the fence?
Which side of the fence?
Ever wondered which side of the fence you sit on?
If a Republican doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a Democrat doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a Republican is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat. If a Democrat is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a Republican is homosexual, he quietly leads his life. If a Democrat is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.
If a Republican is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A Democrat wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a Republican doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Democrats demand that those they don't like be shut down.
If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.
If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.A Democrat demands that the rest of us pay for his.
If a Republican reads this, and have a good laugh. A Democrat will not because he's "offended".

Mentality of the ignorant. Modern city through the lines of facebook.
This is an actual Facebook discussion that was going on. The groups focus was Neighborhood Watch. This is how the ignorant look at themselves. We have doctored nothing other than removing the names of those involved.

My son and I were just driving up River Street in front of the Fallon Rainbow Center and a kid threw a bottle at my car!!! It hit the windshield (thankfully didn't break it) -scared the hell out of us , I swerved--almost hit a telephone pole and another car just missed me. Had to hold my son back--because he wanted to take off after them. Called 911. Very scary situation that could have been alot worse .. I am still a wreck just thinking about it.

I live in the upper Burgh. I won't drive Oakwood at night because there are so many deer up there. So if I'm coming from Wynantskill way or anywhere out that way, I get on 787 just so I don't have to drive up through Troy. Isn't that sad you can't feel safe in your own city. Ironically..it serves you right. You know those people you called dirtbags? That live down the street from you? The father got a glass bottle thrown at him. Maybe you shouldn't be the one to call people dirtbags, you think your helping lansingburgh but you are most certainly not. As a young person I see the things adults write on here and it's ridiculous. You think lansingburgh is awful and you think your above everyone. You are most certainly not if you just sit around and call people dirtbags and complain, especially when you don't know anything about the situation. We as young people in lansingburgh/Troy sit and laugh at the failure you bring to this town. Your no better than anyone. Anywhere.

We were told last month at the neighborhood watch meeting that that bunch was being evicted. Can't come too soon. They're typical of the blight that's taking over the city. Yesterday at 10:01am · Like

Not sure dirt bag is a good term, unless you know personally what was going on. Wonder how anyone else would feel if someone drove up to your house and started hurling bottles and rocks at it. Sounds a like we are getting the mob mentality. If that is the case I have torches and pitch forks for sale. Yesterday at 2:51pm · Like · 2

Small Town with big problems
We follow a lot of community and neighborhood groups around the US and look at what people are saying. Their concerns, community issues etc. One city, Troy, NY. Located in Eastern Upstate NY, near Albany, seems to have several issues that appear to be both asinine and what would seem to be blatant corruption of government. Their police department has instituted and policy to allow police to mark cars left unlocked with visible valuables in it as well as entering the vehicle and locking for the owner without the owners permission. Sounds like the police are gearing up for search and seizures without the need for a subpoena, not only setting vehicles up for break-ins due to the marking of them with a blue tag on the dash.
Another issue we found was that the Council president, Lynn Kopka, likes to gavel out the public when she feels slightly offended or does not feel the topic is of any concern of hers. In a recent statement Kopka said "If someone cares enough about the city and its goings on to come to a Council meeting give their opinion publicly they’ve always been pretty able to say whatever is on their mind so long as the speaker owns property in Troy." So guess what, you rent, you do not matter and what ever you say has no merit there. I think we will be looking a little deeper in to this Chairwoman Kopka.
The next item we found seems a little less public is the Lansingburgh School board. They are a relatively new regime but have already taken a similar stance as Kopka and that regardless of what the public wants, the school board will do just what it wants. Merging and restructure of the elementary schools was one such issue. Though school board presented the concept and would open to public discussion on a certain date, it was discovered that weeks prior they had already decided on the restructure, regardless of the public. It has also been noted that they have masked an art, music and sport elimination program in the school budget without presenting this openly on the budget, recently voted on. The new of cuts have come from the teachers and departments that are being effected, not from the school board.ty in Troy.
It seems although the City of Troy is a pretty small city it is infected with big city problems, other ongoing issues are voter fraud trial, were some Democratic members forged signature for the working family party to gain support for the last election as well as items like the City Council changing the process of obtaining abandoned properties from the city that no require a sealed bid to be placed with the Cities Planning and Economic Development Department. Not that it seems all that bad since it was previously under public auction, where certain bidders would over bid guaranteeing the win but actually under pay the city for the property than what the actually bid was. But now the Commissioner, Bill Dunne, will oversee this new process and with his connection to several investors, and construction firms the scales will again be tipped in favor of them versus the public or neighbors of such vacant properties.
It is interesting that in the same note of our printing breitbart.com reported on a similar incident with Kopka and other members of city council. You can check out the story here: NY Democrats Shield Election-Rigging and Convicted Felon.

The false prophet comes
We see it coming in the future. A leader for the fascistic, the socialist and the zombies. A leader in wolf's clothing. The self proclaimed prophet of all the left has wished for. They will preach equality, and fairness of society and when all are asleep and they become the leader of the former free world they will revolt and and cleanse the earth the do nothing, self indulgent and socialistic leeches begging for free hand-outs.
This false prophet of the beggars at the banquet will in fact be the savior of the common man. The hard worker, self guided and the true member of the human race. They will restore the system of values and hard work to get ahead, so that society no longer desires the free hand out but values the ideals of our Constitution and that will be reinstated as the guidance of our society. Then we will have reached a true utopia.

City of Troy lets Non-profit bully a small business.
Unity House Shelter for abuse victims in North Troy, NY blocked an emergency exit of a small salon with a stockade fence. Calls placed to CEO Chris Burke of Unity House have not been returned. It has also been reported that the City of Troy is refusing to get involved in the issue as they have commented on this is a civil issue. Code enforcement also has refused to get involved at this point. In unconfirmed reports it has been noted that Unity House had most of the construction which included demolition of a historical building and construction of a new building in a residential area on Troy, NY in the Lansingburgh area without permits. City officials have been accused of turning a blind eye to this project due to several lawsuits Unity House brought against the city over the past few years, again reinforcing what many believe that the democratic controlled city is still under major corruption. Voter fraud scandels, removal of public auction of properties for sealed bids and general shady practices that the past mayor tried to irradicate. Zombified Times will keep you posted on this situation.
Zombified Times has official listed the Troy City Council and CEO Chris Burke as Aprils Dumb Asses of the month for your lack of support for the residents of the city and particularly the blatant stupidity of what you did to the salon, their patrons and the owner, as well the citizens of Troy.
